Our Philosophy

We believe in the conservation of animals in their wild habitat and don't support the wild caught reptile trade. We feel that the animals that have been brought into captivity in the past should be enough to establish a wide ranged reptile community without the further taking of animals from their habitat. With that said reptiles can make very nice pets for those who care to take on the responsibility of caring for an exotic animal. Many reptiles are actually very easy to care for such as snakes which only eat once or twice a week and need to have their cage cleaned much less often than a kitty litter box. However, reptiles are special and require some extra care compared to some more common pets.

Unless a person is willing to commit to everything that is needed to care for an exotic animal maybe a reptile isn't the way to go. They are awesome animals, however they do require special care in many instances and it would be better to allow those who are ready for the responsibility to purchase and care for them. Don't let me discourage your reptile buying, but I would rather an animal not be purchased but be cared for correctly than selling the same animal to a person unfit for the proper care for that animal.
